Please note we do not accept new members after week 3.

Cost
The cost for the term is £95 (including music and end-of-term performance). A taster session is £9.50, and you will be sent a discount code to use to take the cost off the term fee (valid for the same term as the taster session is in).
Please note that the cost of the term is fixed regardless of when you join, we do not offer a pro rata rate or pay-as-you-go option, or refunds for missed sessions.
Is there an age limit?
There’s no upper age limit, but we can only take singers aged 18 and over at present.
What music will we be singing?
I aim to offer a really rich variety of music, from folk songs to classical, to pop, to jazz and everything else. As a conductor I am reactive to the size, abilities and tastes of the group — each choir should have its own personality which is a combination of yours and mine.
What practice will I need to do in between rehearsals?
You will need to put in some work at home in between rehearsals – we suggest an hour a week, or 10 minutes a day to revise what we’ve have learned in each rehearsal and to practice the notes with the rehearsal resources provided. This is to ensure we make as much progress as possible in rehearsals when we are working together. Some singers may need to spend more time on note-learning outside rehearsals, depending on their level of experience and music reading ability. We are aspirational and aim to perform to a high standard.
I’ve never sung before, can I join?
Rehearsals can move at a fairly fast pace, but if you are new or returning after a break, be assured that you will find things quickly get easier, especially if you make use of the mp3s provided, and listen to other recordings of the pieces. Many of our singers don’t sight read fluently, but learn a lot by ear. Choral singing skills take a little while to build up, but like any language the more we immerse ourselves, the more fluent we become. There are no formal auditions, but we may ask you to take an ear test, either when you join or at some point later in your choir membership, and we may ask or encourage you to take singing or music theory lessons.
Cancellation policy
Once your place is booked we do not offer refunds. If you would like to try the choir out first, please book a taster session. You will be sent a discount code to use to take the cost of your taster session off the term cost if you subsequently book for the same term.
